Knowing your level:
Unlike other language schools, we do not offer 30 different levels. If you follow our track, you should have a very good level of French within 18 months. Remember, learning a language is a process. Be patient and your hard work will soon pay off. Rarely people learn a language in a few months. It is obviously an advantage to know other Latin languages; more power to you.
We simply divide our groups into 5 levels as follows:
Level 1: Beginner – You have had no exposure to the language. You have not taken the language in High School or College.
Level 2: Beginner Intermediate – You have had little exposure to the language. You have taken the language for 1 or 2 semesters in High School or College.
Level 3: Intermediate – You have had some exposure to the language as a tourist or you may have taken between 3 and 4 semesters in High School or College.
Level 4: Intermediate Advanced – You can carry a conversation in French, however you may make some grammatical errors. Your goal is to improve your speaking ability and your writing skills.
Level 5: Advanced – You can speak French fluently with very few errors. You want to improve your pronunciation, diction, and writing skills.
